This is a hobby welder, or a great farm welder. It does mig tig and stick using a 110 voltage. The duty cycle is not as good as a professional grade welder but at seventy years old neither is my duty cycle.
Absolutely no complaints about this tool. Portable and powerful in a sweet little package.
I have been abusing this bad boy for many years now, it's never let me down and always gets the job done.
At the start of this project, my old Lotos Torch gave up the ghost. It was two years old and very reliable. I contacted Lotos Technical Support (all done by email), and after successfully troubleshooting my old torch, they issued me a new one under the terms of the warranty.
Great, no BS Support, got a new customer for life.
I have been a pixel fanboy since the first one. All the shots in this site have been shot with my pixel phone camera.
A Makita Grinder with a wire cup brush did most of the rust removal but some of the hard spots required a needle scaler and the old reliable Ingersoll Rand air chisel did the trick.
Of course, you only need to use any of these tools without the proper safety equipment, and, your eyes, ears, and hands will scream, "Hea! Fool, suit up!"
My red drill died on this project and it was replaced by a Makita drill and a Corded Makita sawzall.
I am quickly becoming a Makita Tools Snob. They are sturdy and reliable, as my various other color tools die, they will be replaced by Makita.
I didn't need the portable electric chain saw for this project but it has earned my loyalty.
